Camera Interviews - Mr D.C. Murray The Author (1931)

Mr D.C. Murray is probably best known for his novels “Stardust“ and “Candles and Crinolines.“ M/S of Mr Murray in his garden. He sits beneath a tree reading with his dog at his feet. His wife comes out of the house and leans against the tree. M/S of Mr Murray writing in his garden. Intertitle informs us that Mr Murray has the kind of hobby most boys love - the collection of toy soldiers. High angle shot of some of his collection all lined up in battle ranks. Various shots of the mounted shoulders. We see Mr Murray moving his soldiers around on a “diorama“. “Every type of soldier and warrior finds a place in the thousands of this unique assembly and almost any historic world’s battle may be realistically shown. C/U of a scene with miniature buildings on fire. More shots of the toy soldiers. A procession is mounted, this includes an elephant and a chariot. We then see Mr Murray talking to his young son pointing out various parts of his diorama. The child plays with some of the soldiers.
