“Vive La Patrie“! (1932)

Full title reads: “Mulhouse. ’Vive la Patrie’! M. Lebrun has rapturous reception on first Presidential tour of Alsatian towns, now restored to France.“ Mulhouse, Alsace-Lorraine, France. Great cheers can be heard. Soldiers on horse back lead a Presidential car. Soldiers stand in the foreground. The car, with French flag (tricolour) flying pulls up. The crowd stand beneath umbrellas to ward off the rain. President Albert Lebrun gets out of car. A fanfare is played and he walks past line of troops. Closer shots of Lebrun as he doffs his hat to the crowd. He climbs back into his car. The cars drive off. Large numbers of troops are their to see him off. Shots of buildings along the street. People wave from every window and French flags fly from every available pole. The cars drive away.
