Tchaikovsky / Stokowski, 1940s: Miniature Overture, Nutcracker / Щелкунчик

Leopold Stokowski (1882 -- 1977) conducts the New York Stadium Symphony orchestra (once the summertime name of the NY Philharmonic) in this performance, which I believe dates to the late 1940s, of the Miniataure Overture from Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker. From the images of the LP that appear at the close of this presentation, issued in the early 1970s as part of a 5-LP collection under the Murray Hill label.
