Here you can see an 8mm mokumé gané style band being created from silver strip and mokumé patterned sheet. Mokumé Gané is a Japanese term which means “wood eye metal“. It is created by layering alternating sheets of different alloy metals which all contain copper. High temperatures meld the many sheets together which are then milled and patterned.
