On Thursday, an official website of the Russian government posted the decree to revoke the “Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty“ had taken immediate effect. Moscow claims it had done so to be on equal footing with the United States --which has signed, but not ratified the treaty --and that it would not conduct any tests until Washington does.
