’The Wanderer, written by Ernie Maresca, was originally a number one hit by Dion di Mucci in 1961. UK hardrockers Status Quo recorded the song in 1984. It reached #7 in the UK charts, #7 in the German charts and #4 in the Dutch charts. Status Quo released more than 100 singles had more than 60 chart hits in the UK, more than any other rock band.
