Ludwigsdorf borders on Klein Windhoek suburb and is located near road to Windhoek Hosea Kutako International Airport and further to Gobabis and border with Botswana. A ridge in the south of Ludwigsdorf separates the suburb from the Avis Dam, and the B6 national road from the Luxury Hill suburb, another well-off and older residential area. Ludwigsdorf is the most expensive residential area in Windhoek and is also home to numerous embassies, diplomatic missions and residencies of ambassadors and embassies staff.
