What is Upper Airway Resistance Syndrome (UARS)?

Join us for Sleep Apnea Awareness Day March 20th! All month will discuss the less common types of apnea, like UARS. We’re trying to raise awareness for all people, of all ages, to become empowered advocates for quality sleep for themselves and their loved ones! Upper Airway Resistance Syndrome (UARS) brings more focus on the function of the nasal passage in an individual. While UARS may share many of the same symptoms with obstructive sleep apnea, disturbed sleep and consequent daytime impairment, and excessive daytime sleepiness #EDS, the testing results and treatment options can be different.
