Varshavyanka, it is one of the oldest and iconic socialist revolutionary songs and originated in Poland. The song was translated into Russian in 1900 and was mass distributed during the 1905 uprisings. During the 1917 Great October Socialist Revolution, the song became cemented as an iconic hymn.
