My Little Pony Japanese Takara Fakie Vintage Toy Horse Restoration Bootleg Hasbro MLP G1

This is a special restoration. If you’re not familiar with Takara My Little Ponies, you might be in for a surprise! In Japan, Hasbro’s MLPs were made by a different company and looked nothing like the familiar G1s. Takara ponies are highly collectable today, with sets selling for thousands. This little pink and blue baby pony, however, is NOT a real Takara. It’s a “fakie“, a bootleg. However, this RetroGeek firmly believes in #NoPonyLeftBehind. So here is a quick restoration of a super cute baby pony that includes cleaning, rehairing, and styling. The ribbon is donated from a 25th-anniversary My Little Pony.
