They needed a new center for the Hellenic civilization and build it over the Athene then just an Albanian town. So, that is how the new Greek country was created using Albanian land and Romei people of Ottoman Empire (Albanian, Vllaki, Sllavi, Franki, Turki, etc belonging to Greek Orthodox church) based on the Greek language and religion. While Albanian fought for independence from the Ottoman Empire, they become minority in their own land after the expulsion of Muslime (Cham, etc) Albanian and import of Romaic (Greek Orthodox) people during Greek - Turkey population exchange. Albanian population in Modern Greek State suffered an ever incrising Genocide, the Albanian language was prohibited and the ancient Albanian heritage was transformed as a Hellenic heritage and the falk songs were rewritten in Greek langauge only. The Albanian falk costume become the Hellenic Army uniforms. The main powers (English, French, German, Russian) that took Balkan land from the Ottoman promising support to the indigenous Albanian population ignore their rights and suppressed any complained by eliminating their revolutionary leaders and after placed a German King Otto to transform the country into a Government where each political party was representing each of the foreign government the above main power. The people ignorant and desperate population out of endless wars had no choice but to accept these new colonization and sent the kids into the Hellenic school design full of propaganda to make them forget the past and memorize the special mythological ancient Hellenic ’history’... Those that expressed different opinion would be considered traitors and suffer severe consequences.
