Dietrich Buxtehude - ERHALT UNS HERR BEI DEINEM WORT (BuxWV 185) [Hauptwerk // Noordbroek]

In this video you can hear my rendition of Dietrich Buxtehude’s “Erhalt uns Herr bei deinem Wort” (BuxWV 185) played on my Hauptwerk organ. I have chosen to use the sample set of Noordbroek, created by Sonus Paradisi. Dietrich Buxtehude’s beautiful Chorale Prelude on “Erhalt und Herr, bei deinem Wort“, BuxWV 185. It’s a simple but beautiful piece from the organ works of Dietrich Buxtehude - in English it’s called, “Keep us, Lord, faithful to your word“. The chorale is used in several musical settings, including the chorale cantata by Johann Sebastian Bach, Erhalt uns, Herr, bei deinem Wort, BWV 126.
