Ukrainian troops have reportedly pinned down some of Russia’s elite soldiers in Donetsk, preventing them from redeploying to the frontline. Institute for the Study of War (ISW) claims nearly 49 soldiers of Russia’s 7th VDV Division were killed in action in a single day near Staromayorske. Kyiv claims it has retaken several villages in a southward drive towards the Sea of Azov and has also regained ground near Bakhmut. US State Secretary, Antony Blinken, who arrived in Kyiv hours after a Russian missile attack, is on a third trip to Ukraine since the Russian invasion.
