‘The way we are killing the whales is as good as it can be’. These are the words of a Faroese whale hunter. They’re sure that they really ’care about the animals’. Slaughtering whales and dolphins is a Faroe Islands tradition. This year 99 dolphins were slaughtered as part of that tradition. In fact, so many of these sea creatures are butchered that the sea regularly turns red. Do you think this practice should be stopped?
