Precisely because of its political structure and regional administration, Bosnia and Herzegovina is one of the few countries in Europe that has not supported sanctions against Russia. Republika Srpska is building diplomatic and partnership relations with Moscow, and the entity’s president, Milorad Dodik, regularly holds meetings with Vladimir Putin. This policy, which goes beyond the accepted current European conjuncture, has irritated EU politicians, who openly criticise Dodik.
