Art VanDamme: Cute, 2001

Art on his 81st birthday performing a quartet concert in Detroit USA in 2001. Notice the wrist band he got after a game of golf that afternoon, but the show must go on. Art VanDamme is credited with single-handedly diversifying the repertoire of the accordion at a time when its popularity was restricted to polkas and folk music. His career includes a 15 year stint at NBC Chicago, numerous LP recordings, and extensive nightclub work and concert appearances throughout the USA and Europe.
