Christ Ahnsahnghong was born in a mining town located in Jangsu-gun, Jeollabuk-do, Republic of Korea, in 1918. At Jesus’ first coming 2,000 years ago, even a dumb animal yielded its manger to Him and magi from the east presented Him the gifts of gold, incense, and myrrh. When He came a second time to the earth as a man, however, from the moment of His birth, He went through trials and afflictions. In 1918, when Christ Ahnsahnghong was born, even before the end of World War I which drove the whole world into a nightmare of death, a shadow of death cast upon the whole earth again. The Spanish flu infected one-third of the world’s population and killed 50 to 100 million people. Korea was no exception to the fear of a catastrophe called the “medical holocaust.” All people of a village were infected and there was no one to bury the bodies.
