“Wu” Director: 林靖 Michelle Lin Dance style: Chinese dance, Wushu, lion dance collaboration Music: 【穿书自救指南】R1SE赵磊献唱主题曲《忘言歌》 Description: “Wu” directed by 林靖 Michelle Lin is a collaborative joint piece between Fei Tian Dancers, Cal Wushu, and Cal VSA Lion Dance. This piece incorporates a variety of Chinese dance styles, Wushu forms, and lion dance techniques to display the connections between dance and martial arts in Chinese culture. The title “Wu” itself represents both Chinese dance & Chinese martial arts — 舞（wǔ）means dance and 武 （wǔ）means martial arts. As the final performance of our joint showcase, “Wu” demonstrates the collaborative efforts of our separate teams joining together to create something new, yet familiar.
