This is Chicago’s own Johnny Griffin swingin’ like mad on one of his signature songs. This recording is from 1988 and Johnny shows that he could still outplay just about everyone on the tenor sax. This is my very 1st upload and I wouldn’t have been able to do it without the help of my kids. My neice, Kindle and my nephew, Kenneth. They showed me what I could do with my computer. They’re only 9 yrs. old. Amazing.
Lineup:
Johnny Griffin: Tenor Sax
Michael Weiss: Piano
Dennis Irwin: Bass
Kenny Washington: Dr
