NeXT NextStep / OpenStep is a sophisticated Mach-UNIX based operating system that originally ran only on NeXT’s Motorola 68k-based workstations and was then ported to run on 32-bit Intel x86-based “IBM-compatible“ personal computers, PA-RISC-based workstations from Hewlett-Packard, and SPARC-based workstations from Sun Microsystems.
Test rig: Intel Pentium 2 at 266MHz, 48MB RAM, Intel 440LX IBM motherboard, ATI Rage Pro 4MB AGP, Creative SoundBlaster 16 ISA, Intel 100Pro PCI LAN
