Chinese / $1800 Climbing bike - Part 1: The Parts

For a long time I’ve wanted to build a lightweight climbing bike using as many Chinese parts as possible for as cheap as possible. This is what I came up with. No Dura Ace, No Sram Red, No THM of McFk. The end result a bike that’s designed to take on steeper Strava segments and hillclimb races. Chopped bars, single brake, and a 1x drivetrain. A few Chinese weight weenie parts and a lack of bar tape makes this bikes intentions clear.
