Impressively-bearded Catalunian beatmeister Fitzroy North makes tunes that skip from Skwee’d out beat music to electro-funk to straight up glitch. Whatever genre he’s working in, it’s always bright and glitzy and fun. So we gotta ask: Why is the ladymime in his video for “Sunset Flux“ so sad? She sits alone in the attic of an old house, staring at a glass of blue liquid like she’s withdrawing from Hypnotiq while the surrealist lyrics of the tune pop up over her face. By the end, she’s straight up bawling.
