UK Cyclist Spends $7,500 To Get $45K-Valued Bikes Back From Poland After local police refused to act after four professional bicycles worth ₤39,000 ($45,000) were stolen from his home, elite cyclist Damian Groves was forced to spend ₤6,000 ($7,500) on drones, private investigators, and driving himself to Poland to get them back. Groves was contacted on social media by men claiming to have stolen the bikes who demanded a ransom of ₤300 to return one of them, but they never delivered it despite him leaving cash to be picked up as agreed.
