Anyone who’s seen Wayne’s World will remember the classic scene where Garth is left alone during a live broadcast. Back in the editing room, a guy sees Garth’s terrified face on the TV screen and says to everyone “Did you ever see that scene in Scanners when that dude’s head blew up?“ Well, we believe it’s most likely that the vast majority of people watching Wayne’s World will have no idea what he’s talking about, and have never even heard of Scanners - David Cronenberg’s 1981 cult classic.
