Reusable space vehicles are opening the way to space tourism, first civilians flying to space. Now it is time to accelerate, to recover the huge delay accumulated during the last 40 years. Space settlement should definitely move its first steps before 2025, opening a new horizon of development for our civilization. Next milestone, to boost the civilian space settlement, will be to produce fuel in space, from lunar and asteroid resources: that will further knock down the cost of any space travel. Not only 8 billion citizen need space and new resources, relenting to exploit and pollute our mother Planet Earth. Moving beyond Earth’s limits is a step towards freedom, an evolutionary milestone, comparable to life emerging from primeval ocean, about 3 billions years ago. Such an historic movement requires priority focus to enhance some enabling technologies, to allow untrained civilians to travel, work and live in space for long time. The private industry is making a great effort, but should not be left alone. The Planet Earth’s Governments are spending too much for military and too little or zero on civilian space development: we’re not proposing to reduce the military spending, just to raise the expenditure for real progress active strategies #nasa #future #mars #space #science #education
