Jackson and April “You Were Good to Me“ (+17x14)

spoilers for 17x14!!! I AM STILL IN SHOCK! WE ARE GETTING OUR JAPRIL ENDGAME AFTER ALL!!! When they announced that Sarah Drew was coming back for an episode, I desperately hoped for the barest of japril crumbs. I hoped they’d find a way to write out the matthew/april marriage but I really didn’t think it would happen. Then as the episode was airing my hopes kept getting smaller and smaller... BUT THEN! April said those three magical words “we split up“ and I legit screamed! Never been happier to hear about the failure of a fictional marriage, ngl. Anyways, while I’m sad Jesse Williams is leaving the show, the way they’ve set up Jackson’s potential reunion with April was the absolute best ending for him that I could have picked.
