The Moon Through A Skywatcher 10“ Dobsonian Telescope on 3-2-12 (#1)
Here’s some video showing day 9 of the Lunar cycle. I just let the Moon drift through the field of view at 96x magnification in the southern area as we pass up the dark gray patch on the left which is Mare Nubuim “Sea of Clouds“. Off to the right is the relatively young and sharply defined crater (that has a central peak) named Tycho which is probably the most easily seen crater with the naked eye, along with it’s ray system which are the radial streaks of debris thrown out during the formation of an impact crater.

• 10“ (254 mm) Dobsonian-style Newtonian
• 1200 mm focal length (f/)
• 2“ Crayford-style focuser with “ adaptor
• 8x50 right angle viewfinder
• Solid rocker-mount with Teflon bearings and tension clutch
• Collapsible tube design for easy storage and transportation

• Celestron Telescope Camera Adapter
• Moon Filter
• 25mm “ eyepiece
• 2x Barlow Lens
Camera:
• Canon Powershot SD600 6 megapixel camera at 3x optical zoom
