The Reality of Quitting Alcohol (the bad, good, and life changing) | 4 years sober

Have you ever thought about quitting alcohol and trying out being sober? This episode is sparked because I am now 4 years sober. I take you through the reality of quitting alcohol and exactly what to expect. Whether you’re sober curious, or thinking of being completely sober, it doesn’t matter. This episode is all about what it’s like to be sober, the difficult things you’ll encounter, but also the benefits and life changing things sobriety brings. Quitting alcohol and deciding to be sober isn’t ’the norm.’ It’s becoming more widely accepted, but chances are, people will think you’re strange. They won’t understand. So, you have to be prepared for that. But this will show you who your true friends are, which is great. You can cleanse your life and stop wasting time with people who don’t matter. You will also have so much more time and money to try out new and exciting things. Yes, this will be weird to begin with - especially if all you do right now is party - but it’s exciting! And being sober should be part of self improvement - I think that’s what most people go into it hoping for - you want to improve your life. So, all the extra time you have now that you’re not drinking and being hungover, you can spend reading, listening to podcasts (like this one), and learning new things. But all of this won’t be easy. You’ll be tested. Over and over again. But what’s the point of doing something if it’s not a challenge? 📷 Listen on: Spotify - Google - Apple - 🎥 Other Videos: - Conscious Living: An Evening With Eckhart Tolle (key takeaways) - The Reality of Quitting Alcohol (the bad, good, and life-changing) Chapters: 00:00 Intro 00:48 4 Years Sober 02:39 Sober Curious 04:30 Telling People You’re Not Drinking 08:47 Sober Tests 14:00 You Have to Face Yourself 22:05 Self Improvement 25:30 Alcohol Is Everywhere 30:23 You Will Be Uncomfortable 35:05 Sobriety Rundown 43:56 You Won’t Turn to Substances 45:00 Benefits of Being Sober #sober #alcoholfree
