On the day of this wedding, another party was in the main reception room which I knew about. This meant my setup time was cut back significantly. My wedding started at 4:00PM which means guests usually arrive around 3:30PM. The party in the other room went on until 2:30PM, so there was only about an hour to get things ready. The only way to get this done was to stage things in zones and then prioritize what I need to do now versus what I can do later. What made this even harder was the room wasn’t completely cleared out by 2:30PM, so I had to navigate around people, balloons, trash, and tables left in the room.
