BREAKING: Israel strikes Yemen after Houthis attack Tel Aviv | LiveNOW from FOX
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed Saturday that Israel carried out airstrikes in Yemen after the Houthi claimed responsibility for an attack on a Tel Aviv apartment building that killed at least one person.
This appears to mark the first time that Israel has conducted a strike on Yemen.
The IDF wrote in a statement on Twitter/X, “a short while ago, the Israeli IDF fighter jets struck military targets of the Houthi terrorist regime in the area of Al Hudaydah Port in Yemen in response to the hundreds of attacks carried out against the State of Israel in recent months.”
The Houthi attacks come amid the war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, which began more than nine months ago when the Hamas terror group launched a surprise attack on Israel, killing more than 1,200 people and taking approximately 250 hostages.
