Terence Wilson. Co-founder of British reggae band UB40 Terence Wilson has died November 6, 2021, after a short illness. Wilson, whose stage name was Astro, was a member of UB40 for over thirty years. What exactly was wrong with Wilson has not been disclosed. Wilson started at UB40 as a roadie and was allowed to announce the band. He later became the second vocalist behind lead singer Ali Campbell. He also played trumpet and percussion. In 2013, Wilson left the band, which scored hits such as ‘Red Red Wine’ and ‘Can’t Help Falling In Love’. He joined the previously disbanded Ali Campbell. Together they formed an offshoot of the band under the name UB40 featuring Ali Campbell and Astro. A new album and a tour were planned for early next year. The original band also still exists.
