Hiking in the North Caucasus: gear, food, clothes

In this video Kseniia is packing her stuff for a 5-day hiking tour in Arkhyz, Karachai-Cherkessia Republic. She gives a general information about gear and clothes she personally takes. Moreover, a lot of information is given about food. The organizers (at ADT) take fully over packing individual bags for each tour participant and in case of a diet adapt the menu accordingly. In the video it’s shown what exact things are taken and how it’s planned at the hike to eat them. We came up with this food system back in 2013 and since then have been improving it every year. However, the disadvantage of it is that we use a lot of plastic which is a pity. So we search around for new ideas and solutions to change the situation at least a bit.
