Craters! (1930)

United States of America. Introductory intertitle reads: “Not the kind that hang about Vesuvius, but the fastest “craters“ (or packers) in California.“ High angle panning shot of several women packing oranges. They are in some kind of hall and are wearing funny Christmas style hats. Perhaps this is a competition to see who can pack the fastest. “Handwork at a dizzy pace - no fumblers need apply.“ C/U of one of the girls wrapping the oranges in paper. One of the girls is awarded a shiny silver cup. Was an item in Eve’s Film Review issue number 473. Safety print exists. NB: alternative spelling of Vesuvius - Vesuvio.
