Central Office Production Order. 396 was the biggest motor GM allowed in a Camaro but if you were one of the few that had insider info, you could special order a Camaro with the L-72 427-425 hp. This was an unadvertised car, so they were a very limited production. Today they can sell in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. You can’t tell this one from an original, even if you check the codes.
