Welsh pibgorn - Beth yw’r Haf i mi?

Download Welsh bagpipe music from: `Beth yw’r Haf i Mi?’ played on Welsh pibgorn. Ox horns on Welsh oak body taken from one of the roof beams in my house which was built in 1862 or thereabouts. The reed is a composite single reed, brass body with a slip of clarinet reed for the tongue. Great sound but goes flat even as you’re playing as the reed absorbs water. Of course I should tune the pibgorn after playing for 10 minutes or so & leave the reed like that. Next time you play you start off out of tune but the reed comes in to tune as you play - but who wants to play for 10 minutes before the instrument is ready to play properly?
