Mistral was een studioproject van Robbie van Leeuwen (ex-Shocking Blue en Galaxy Lin) en Rick van der Linden (ex-Ekseption, ex-Trace en de ex van Penney de Jager). Ze speelden synth-pop nog voordat die term bestond. De groep scoorde drie hits: Jamie, Starship 109 en Neon city.
Starship 109 werd ingezongen door Marjan Schattelijn.
De single bereikte de 8e plek in de Nederlandse Top 40 in april 1978.

TopPop was the first regular dedicated pop music TV show in the Dutch language area. Dutch broadcaster AVRO aired the programme weekly, from 1970 to 1988. Presenter Ad Visser hosted the show for its first fifteen years.
