Apart from a specific rhythm in tango and way of dancing it, milonga represents the social set up where we go and dance tango, we meet our peers, and enjoy a wonderful night together. As any social set up, it needs to have rules so that it can be harmonious. Whenever we step into a milonga, we become an inextricable part of it, and so its harmony depends, including on our ability to understand how its rules work.
