Will Donald Trump become president again? Watch The Times debate

With a month to go until the US presidential election, The Times hosted a debate at Cheltenham Literature Festival on the likely result and what a second Donald Trump term could look like.  The debate — entitled Trump: The Sequel? — featured the foreign policy expert, Sir Robin Niblett, the chair of Republicans Abroad, Sarah Elliott, Times columnist and peer, Danny Finkelstein, and the Conservative Home and UnHerd founder, Tim Montgomerie.  Chaired by the Times Radio presenter, John Pienaar, the debate discussed whether the current polls — which put the Democratic candidate, Kamala Harris, narrowly ahead of her Republican rival — are right and what the global consequences could be.
