India: Clashes erupt as thousands decry Sheikh Nimr’s execution in Srinagar

Protesters clashed with police in Srinagar on Sunday after several thousand demonstrators took to the streets to rally against the recent execution of prominent Shia cleric Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr. Sheikh Nimr was killed along with 46 other prisoners convicted of “terrorism“ charges in Saudi Arabia on Saturday.
