Berlin in the 19th Century; Architecture of the Old World before it was lost (Photographs 1840-1900)

Howdy. Today we will look at photographs of Berlin dated to 1840 through circa 1900. We will begin by viewing a map showcasing the Star Fortress of Berlin as it appeared numerous centuries ago, followed by the first photographs of Berlin that I could identify, taken in the year 1840. Our collection of images today will span through the end of the 19th century, looking to showcase the Old World architecture of Germany’s capital in fine detail. We will also briefly discuss the currently accept history of Berlin, and I’d love to hear any thoughts you have about the structures of the city in the comment section down below. Enjoy!
