April’s “thunderstorm“ in Germany caused plane cancellations, downed trees and traffic problems. Soldiers and their families in the military community of Kaiserslautern were digging up the ground in the morning after an April storm that dropped up to 10 inches of heavy sleet overnight and, in some villages, cut off electricity, toppled trees, and caused traffic congestion.
