Mars on Earth: Drone capture breathtaking Martian-like landscape in Russia’s Ural region

Drone footage captured a breathtaking bird’s-eye view of one of the quarries in the Troitsko-Bainovsky field, which bears a striking resemblance to a Martian landscape, on Friday, August 20. The footage shows the hills of the Poldnevsky area, as well as red-brown lakes. According to local media, the Martian landscape stretches over an area of more than 70 square kilometers near the town of Bogdanovich.
