White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said the U.S. believes the attack was planned, resourced, and facilitated by the militia group. He also relayed President Joe Biden’s stance on responding in an “appropriate way.“ Kirby added that Biden was continuing to weigh retaliation options.
