At the top of our list with a (silver) bullet, it’s those famously hirsute nighttime hunters — werewolves! There’s a reason it’s often teens or young adults who fall victim to the bite of a scary creature on a moonlit night: Dangerous to themselves as well as others, lycanthropes (which have existed since the ancient Greek myths and possibly earlier) represent the changing body and the hot-blooded loss of our dignity, nay, our humanity, to forces (read: hormones) beyond our control.
