Lion attacking Cape Buffalo at Chitake Springs Mana Pools National Park Zimbabwe

Late September at Chitake Springs in Mana Pools NP Zimbabwe. Our amazing guide Nick Murry, owner of Bushlife Safaris, put us in perfect position to see a pride of 30 lions attack 300 very thirsty Cape Buffalo charging down to drink from the only water available for many miles. We were standing on the edge of the bluff with no other people around. We have seen some amazing sights with our 8 safaris with The Africa Adventure Company, but nothing compared to this. The sight and sound was incredible. With my adrenalin running, I got quite emotional in my narration, so if you don’t want to hear me saying OMG many times, don’t turn on the sound.
