Russia accused of false-flag operations amid heavy shelling in eastern Ukraine

A potential Russian invasion of Ukraine is growing more certain, after Russian-backed separatists allegedly fired heavy shelling in parts of eastern Ukraine. The incident happened amid reports of a dramatic spike in ceasefire violations in the region over the past week. The United Nations is also expressing concern, urging restraint on all sides. As Global’s Jackson Proskow reports, the attacks come as the Kremlin faces accusations by the U.S. of trying to create false pretexts to enable the conflict.
