Super Mario Bros. 8-4 IL in (8-C + 2) *TWR*

“There is a big likelihood that this will be my very last 8-4 IL PB ever, unless I can figure out 8-B first room.“ - Quote from 8/15/21, in my 8-D description. Literally just a month ago, achieving this time was completely out of reach, and I hadn’t even gotten a single 8-B first room at that point. It was around that same time when I started to look into trying out 8-B on controller, then switching to keyboard to play the rest using a program called JoyToKey. Thanks to this, not only was 8-D not my last 8-4 IL PB ever, but something that felt like a complete dream in the past turned into reality! It has been a long and wild ride to get to this point in this category, improving frame by frame for over 2 years, and now I can finally say that I no longer have to grind this category. This is THE perfect 8-4 IL speedrun, and this will never be beaten with no L R by TAS or human unless a brand new timesave is found! This also maxes out / ties TAS for my sum of best as well with a 4:! Biggest thanks to these people: samm_1703, for being generous enough to give me the controller I used in this run, honestly not sure if I would’ve gotten this without him; LeKukie & Tree, for not only inspiring me to try out 8-B first room and make my dreams a reality, but also for being incredibly cracked at 8-4 IL and just being inspiring and awesome in general!
