Fly River Turtle & Lace Monitor @ IguanaLand!

Turtles are, as a group, pretty unusual reptiles. They have a shell, their head and limbs can go inside of their ribcages, they have a beak instead of teeth. They are weird! But among the turtles, there are a few that are particularly weird. One of the weirdest is the Fly River turtle, also called the pig-nosed turtle. This is the only freshwater turtle in the world with flippers like a sea turtle. It has a soft covering to its shell, but it isn’t a soft-shelled turtle.
