Yarga sound system & Tonja Yufa - Fairy tales of the White sea

This joint media-project, devoted to the White sea, is based on an old Russian fairy tale “Wondrous Gudok“, retold by Boris Shergin. This is a story about betrayal, about death and about miracle. In the center of its plot is the image of a tree (crispate rowan), used by traveling minstrels for making a musical instruments - gudochek. It sings in human voice and work wonders. Yarga sound system and Tonja Yufa use the folklore source and transform it into another temporal and spatial dimension with help of modern technologies.
