Outnumbered and outgunned, another Tiger 1 and StuG turn toward Major Cain. With his complete loathing and hatred of tanks Major Cain picks up his trusty PIAT and goes out alone to deal with them. Injured and out of PIAT rounds he picks up a two-inch motor and takes on the advancing Panzer grenadiers and their tanks. His incessant bombardment and aggression forced the enemy into full retreat. Throughout the whole course of the Battle of Arnhem, Major Cain showed superb gallantry. His powers of endurance and leadership were the admiration of all his fellow officers and men.
